DALLAS OFFICE

David McGoodwin, Partner, President

Mr. McGoodwin has over 35 years of experience in the Water and Wastewater industry from both a Factory and Manufacturers Representative level. David was employed by companies such as Can-Tex Industries and Davis Industries from the factory side, and over 20 years with Newman Company and MVE as a local representative. He possesses a B.S. Degree in Microbiology with Chemistry minor from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas.

Doug Varner, P.E.

Mr. Varner has over 25 years of experience in the Water and Wastewater industry, serving as a construction inspector/manager and an engineering consultant. He possesses a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Houston. In 2021, he joined MVE in efforts to transition ownership over the next 3-5 years. He is passionate about client service, mentoring, and leading the long-term strategy for the company.

Randy Greene, Retired

Mr. Greene brings more than 25 years of experience in the Municipal Market both from a Large Valve Manufacturer (American Darling 1985 – 1990) and as a Representative in the Oklahoma and Texas areas with both Newman Company and MVE. Mr. Greene is very familiar with all areas of this industry from the consulting Engineers to supply houses and end-users. He graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1981 with a B.S. Degree in Industrial Engineering.

Chris Schmid, P.E.

Chris Schmid is a professional engineer who began the 2nd chapter of his career at Municipal Valve & Equipment in 2023. Chris has over 25 years experience in the water/wastewater industry as a consulting engineer.  Throughout his career, as a consulting engineer, his primary focus has been on the design and project management of large water treatment and pump station facilities throughout Texas and Oklahoma. As a member of the MVE team, he will bring this experience on the many projects and challenges consulting engineers face with their projects.  Chris received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering from Texas A&M. In his spare time Chris enjoys being with his family and actively participating in Friday Night Lights as a Texas High School Football Official.

Jim Anderson, Partner, Vice President of Operations

Jim started with MVE in 2006. He has a combined 30 years of experience in the Water and Wastewater Industry, consisting of 20 years of experience in the Water/Waste Water Construction Industry with Cajun Constructors Inc. and R.M. Wright Construction, and 10 years experience in the Municipal Valve market with MVE. Jim is very familiar with all aspects of this industry including Project Management, Estimating, Scheduling, Construction and Valve Automation. He possesses an Associates Degree in Oil and Gas Technology from Kilgore Jr. College.

Clint Pulliam, Partner, Director of Outside Sales / Service Department Manager

Clint joined MVE in 2010. Clint has 20 years of construction experience and 15 years of Water/Wastewater valve sales & valve automation experience. His experience in the Water/Wastewater industry includes outside sales, actuator technical assistance and start up, project management and engineering assistance at project design phase. Clint currently oversees and manages the MVE Service Department Team as well as the Outside Sales Team.

Kim Palecek, Senior Project Manager / Inside Sales Manager

With over 28 years with MVE, Kim has extensive experience in the municipal water and wastewater industry.  Throughout her career, Kim has held significant roles leading her to understand all operational aspects of our business. Those roles include HR, A/R, A/P, payroll, financial operations, sales, purchasing, project management and client/vendor relations.

Kim is a seasoned Senior Project Manager overseeing projects from inception to completion, collaborating closely with clients, manufacturers, and vendors to ensure successful outcomes. Her direct involvement throughout the project lifecycle provides a comprehensive understanding of the industry’s nuances and challenges, allowing her to effectively navigate complex projects and relationships.

Janice Fuqua, Senior Project Manager / Inside Sales

Janice joined MVE in 2018. She has over 25 years of experience in the Water/Wastewater Industry working closely with engineers, contractors and suppliers handling all aspects of operations, office management, project management, inside sales, purchasing and accounting.

Corina Squires, Accounting & HR Manager

Corina joined MVE in 2023 as our Accounting and HR Manager. She has over 25 years of experience in small business finance management and operations.  Throughout her career, she has been a business owner, project manager and an accounting professional.

Elizabeth Pulver, Project Coordinator

Elizabeth joined MVE in 2024.  She has over 6 years of project management experience.  She is looking forward to implementing her knowledge of project management here at MVE.

Philip Knighton, Estimator

Philip joined MVE in 2008 as one of the company’s estimators. He has over 10 years of experience in the Water/Wastewater Industry. In 2004 he moved to Phoenix to train under the National Manger of Plant Department for Hughes Supply, where he gained his experienced in Pump/Lift Stations, Transmission Mains and Water/Wastewater Plant estimating.

Taylor Munkres, Junior Estimator

Taylor joined MVE in 2024. Taylor played baseball while attending Abilene Christian University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree. Playing with a team helped him transition into the work force, because it taught him about communication, perseverance, and being a teachable person. He has 3 years of residential construction project management that included job tracking and scheduling, customer service, budgeting, material ordering, and building sub-contractor and vendor relationships.

Jacob Martinez, Service Coordinator

Jacob joined MVE in 2023. He has over three years of accounting experience.  As a Service Coordinator, he handles all service department functions.  He is responsible for shipping/receiving duties among other things at MVE. He is looking forward to the challenges and growing with the company.

Eric Ryals, Service Technician

Eric started with MVE in 2016, bringing with him over 15 years of experience in the water industry. Eric joined the Marine Corps out of high school, specializing in water treatment as a Water Support Technician and reaching the rank of Sergeant by the end of his 8 years of service. Eric comes to MVE bringing knowledge and experience as an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician that maintains all crucial instrumentation of the treatment process, reviews engineer submittals, and works with vendors to maintain safe and adequate drinking water. He also has experience as a Service Engineer maintaining all the electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic actuators. We are proud to have him here with us at MVE utilizing his skills to develop plant level relationships, site surveys, and making repairs on valves and actuators.

Devlyn Russell, Service Technician

Devlyn joined MVE in 2020. Devlyn joined the Marine Corps as a CH-53E aircraft mechanic out of high school. After the Marine Corps, he worked for Trilogy Circuits as a SMT (Surface Mount Technology) Operator/ Production. As a SMT operator he had to receive and build jobs consisting of the building of circuit boards.

JP Donovan, Service Technician

JP joined MVE in 2023. He comes to us after serving in the Military in the United States Army Infantry. He is excited to work as a service technician for our team at MVE.

AUSTIN/SAN ANTONIO OFFICE

Tauna Felps, Inside Sales / Service Dept Coordinator

Tauna joined MVE in 2013. She has 24 years of experience in inventory control and all aspects of warehouse management. Her experience in the Water and Wastewater Industry ranges from purchasing, project material management, job-costing, maintaining compliance with OSHA regulations, shipping and receiving, transportation logistics, inventory control and warehouse management. She is also a certified forklift operator. Tauna holds an Associate in Applied Science Degree from The Victoria College.

Mike Watson, Sales

Mike joined MVE in 2023 and has been in the waterworks industry since graduating from Clemson University with a BS in Construction Science in 1998. He has a wide variety of construction experience from surveying to equipment procurement to leading high performing teams, and he knows the importance of working together to keep projects on schedule. Mike has spent the last 18 years in Central Texas collaborating with engineers, clients, contractors, and manufacturers on a variety of sizes and types of water and wastewater facilities. Mike brings a passion for serving others and finding solutions that move projects forward.

HOUSTON OFFICE

Lauren Kempf, Operations Manager for South Texas

Lauren joined MVE in 2023. She is an accomplished professional who had made her mark in the field of International Logistics and the Water and Municipal Wastewater Industry.

Lauren pursued her studies at Lee College. Once her educations were completed, she embarked on a career in international Logistics. After being driven by a desire to make a difference, Lauren decided to take her passion and expertise into the water and wastewater industry.

Beau Johnson, Sales

Beau joined MVE in 2022; he has 20 years of construction management experience in water, civil, and commercial general contracting. He has experience in various aspects of construction management, including estimating, procurement, scheduling, job cost controls, etc. He has also worked in client facing positions gaining skills in client management, business development and sales. Field service management skills include operations, safety, and quality control. Beau received a BS in Construction Science from Texas A&M.

GULF COAST OFFICE

Kimberly Gruver, Inside Sales / Project Manager

Kimberly joined MVE at our Gulf Coast Office in 2012. She has over 25 years in customer service and accounting. Kimberly’s career began with an Associate’s Degree in Business from Clinton Community College. She joined her family-owned business where she was the head of accounting.  In 1991, her entrepreneurial spirit took over and Kimberly owned and operated her own business catering to the special needs of her discriminating clientele until joining MVE. Kimberly’s responsibilities include office management, project management and customer service.
