DALLAS OFFICE

David McGoodwin, Partner, President

Mr. McGoodwin has over 35 years of experience in the Water and Wastewater industry from both a Factory and Manufacturers Representative level. David was employed by companies such as Can-Tex Industries and Davis Industries from the factory side, and over 20 years with Newman Company and MVE as a local representative. He possesses a B.S. Degree in Microbiology with Chemistry minor from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas.

Randy Greene, Partner, Secretary / Treasurer

Mr. Greene brings more than 25 years of experience in the Municipal Market both from a Large Valve Manufacturer (American Darling 1985 – 1990) and as a Representative in the Oklahoma and Texas areas with both Newman Company and MVE. Mr. Greene is very familiar with all areas of this industry from the consulting Engineers to supply houses and end-users. He graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1981 with a B.S. Degree in Industrial Engineering.

Jim Anderson, Partner, Vice President of Operations

Jim started with MVE in January of 2006. He has a combined 30 years of experience in the Water and Wastewater Industry, consisting of 20 years of experience in the Water/Waste Water Construction Industry with Cajun Constructors Inc. and R.M. Wright Construction, and 10 years experience in the Municipal Valve market with MVE. Jim is very familiar with all aspects of this industry including Project Management, Estimating, Scheduling, Construction and Valve Automation. He possesses an Associates Degree in Oil and Gas Technology from Kilgore Jr. College.

Clint Pulliam, Partner, Director of Outside Sales / Service Department Manager

Clint joined MVE in 2010. Clint has 20 years of construction experience and 15 years of Water/Wastewater valve sales & valve automation experience. His experience in the Water/Wastewater industry includes outside sales, actuator technical assistance and start up, project management and engineering assistance at project design phase. Clint currently oversees and manages the MVE Service Department Team as well as the Outside Sales Team.

Kim Palecek, Office Manager / Senior Project Manager / Inside Sales Manager

Kim joined MVE in June of 1995 as our Office Manager/Receptionist/Bookkeeper. Kim quickly added Project Management and Inside Sales to her responsibilities with MVE. As our Senior Project Manager, Kim handles the majority of our Project Management, coordinating with contractors on submittals, purchasing, scheduling and O & M’s. She provides excellent customer service and vendor interaction skills, which she utilizes in her many duties at MVE. In addition to Inside Sales and Project Management, Kim also presides over our Human Resource and Payroll Departments. Kim has been an excellent resource at MVE for over 20 years.

Janice Fuqua, Project Manager / Purchasing

Janice joined MVE in February 2018. She has over 19 years of experience in handling all aspects of office management, project management, inside sales, purchasing and accounting. She brings 16 years of knowledge in the Water/Wastewater Industry working closely with engineers and contractors throughout the pre-bid and bid process.

Kim Keeny, Inside Sales / Purchasing / Logistics / Assists Service Team

Kim joined MVE in 2019. A native of Kansas City, KS, she brings with her over 25 years’ experience in the customer service industry, as well as a management background and a positive solution based attitude. Her responsibilities include inside sales, purchasing, assisting our service team, inventory control, logistics, and shipping and receiving.

Trina Hubacek, Accounting Manager / Office Administrator

Trina joined MVE in August of 2017. She has over 20 years experience in the accounting field. Trina handles all accounts receivable and accounts payable accounts. Her responsibilities also include receptionist and administrative duties. Trina has superb customer service skills and has proven to be a valued addition to MVE.

Philip Knighton, Estimator

Philip joined MVE in July of 2008 as one of the company’s estimators. He has over 10 years of experience in the Water/Wastewater Industry. In 2004 he moved to Phoenix to train under the National Manger of Plant Department for Hughes Supply, where he gained his experienced in Pump/Lift Stations, Transmission Mains and Water/Wastewater Plant estimating.

Eric Ryals, Service Technician

Eric started with MVE in June of 2016, bringing with him over 15 years of experience in the water industry. Eric joined the Marine Corps out of high school, specializing in water treatment as a Water Support Technician and reaching the rank of Sergeant by the end of his 8 years of service. Eric comes to MVE bringing knowledge and experience as an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician that maintains all crucial instrumentation of the treatment process, reviews engineer submittals, and works with vendors to maintain safe and adequate drinking water. He also has experience as a Service Engineer maintaining all the electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic actuators. We are proud to have him here with us at MVE utilizing his skills to develop plant level relationships, site surveys, and making repairs on valves and actuators.

Devlyn Russell, Service Technician

Devlyn joined MVE in 2020. Devlyn joined the Marine Corps as a CH-53E aircraft mechanic out of high school. After the Marine Corps, he worked for Trilogy Circuits as a SMT (Surface Mount Technology) Operator/ Production. As a SMT operator he had to receive and build jobs consisting of the building of circuit boards.

AUSTIN OFFICE

Tauna Felps, Office Manager / Inside Sales / Service Dept Coordinator

Tauna joined MVE in August of 2013. She has 24 years of experience in inventory control and all aspects of warehouse management. Her experience in the Water and Wastewater Industry ranges from purchasing, project material management, job-costing, maintaining compliance with OSHA regulations, shipping and receiving, transportation logistics, inventory control and warehouse management. She is also a certified forklift operator. Tauna holds an Associate in Applied Science Degree from The Victoria College.

HOUSTON OFFICE

Brian Syzdek, Outside Sales

Brian joined MVE in September 2017. He has over 30 years of experience in the Water and Wastewater industry, from both the factory and manufacturer’s representative level. Brian’s history includes many years with Watts, specializing in their Automatic Control Valve division, holding positions ranging from Assembly & Testing, Technical Services Management, and Regional and National Sales Management. He has also served as National Sales Manager for AMES Company and Dorot Control Valves. Brian uses his experience to assist design engineers and municipalities in their selection and specification of valve solutions tailored to their specific applications and requirements. Brian is based in Houston and works with our South Texas area sales group.

Blake Ortega, Outside Sales

Blake joined MVE in 2019. He has over 20 years of experience in the waterworks industry in the South Texas territory. Blake was with The Scruggs Co. for 17 years as a manufacturer’s rep for valves and actuators in the waterworks industry. During those 17 years, he had many roles including repairing valves, inside sales, outside sales and managing the inside group. He was also Inside Sales Manager for RES Energy Solutions in the oil and gas industry,  outside sales for SIP Industries – a fitting manufacturer in the waterworks industry, and outside sales for Star Pipe – a fitting manufacturer in the waterworks industry. His background has given him a well-rounded understanding of all aspects of the business. Blake is based in Houston and works with our South Texas area sales group.

Beau Johnson, Sales

Beau joined MVE in December 2022; he has 20 years of construction management experience in water, civil, and commercial general contracting. He has experience in various aspects of construction management, including estimating, procurement, scheduling, job cost controls, etc. He has also worked in client facing positions gaining skills in client management, business development and sales. Field service management skills include operations, safety, and quality control. Beau received a BS in Construction Science from Texas A&M.

Stephanie De Los Santos

Stephanie joined MVE August 2021, and she brings with her over 15 years of experience in the customer service industry. That knowledge stems from her time as inside sales and client relations with both SIP and Sigma Corporation working within the waterworks industry.  Stephanie’s responsibilities include inside support, project quotes, project management, and submittals/O&M’s for the Houston office.

GULF COAST OFFICE

Steve Thomas, Gulf Coast Area Manager

Steve started with MVE in June of 2009; he has over 25 years of experience in the Water/Wastewater industry, from both a factory and a manufacturer’s representative level. Steve has been employed by companies such as The Mueller Company, National Product Manager, and M&H/Kennedy Valve Company, Engineered Products National Sales Manager, prior to joining MVE in 2009. Steve uses his experience to work closely with design engineering firms, municipalities, distributors, and contractors. His area includes the states of Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and Arkansas.

Kimberly Gruver, Inside Sales / Project Manager

Kimberly joined MVE at our Gulf Coast Office in October of 2012. She has over 25 years in customer service and accounting. Kimberly’s career began with an Associate’s Degree in Business from Clinton Community College. She joined her family-owned business where she was the head of accounting.  In 1991, her entrepreneurial spirit took over and Kimberly owned and operated her own business catering to the special needs of her discriminating clientele until joining MVE in 2012. Kimberly’s responsibilities include office management, project management and customer service.
